Position title: GIS Technician LTE

Job description: This limited-term employment (LTE) position will involve editing and analyzing GIS data to support an effort to develop a database of well construction records. Primary responsibilities will include data entry and spatial editing of subsurface geologic records from water well construction records in Microsoft Access and Esri file geodatabase. Additional responsibilities and extension of employment are possible, depending on job performance.
Qualifications: The prospective candidate will be detail-oriented and will have experience editing data using ArcMap 10.x, an interest in geology or natural resources, and at least 2 years undergraduate education in geography or the natural sciences with some GIS coursework.
Location: Work will take place at the WGNHS office at 3817 Mineral Point Road, Madison, Wisconsin.
