This position will involve analyzing, documenting, and migrating 55 countywide feature classes into one statewide feature class. Primary responsibilities will include comparing schemas of all existing data, data migration tracking, creation of metadata, and QA/QC of existing data.
The prospective candidate will be detail-oriented, have familiarity with file geodatabase design and creation in the ArcGIS 10.x environment, a familiarity with Python scripting specific to geospatial data, an interest in geology, geography, or natural resources, and possess minimum of two years undergraduate education in geography, GIS, or computer science.
Work will take place at the WGNHS office at 3817 Mineral Point Road, Madison, Wisconsin.
